Enzymes:
The "Sparks of Life" |
Without enzymes, life could not go on. Enzymes are
necessary for virtually every chemical reaction that happens in your body.
No chemical reactions, no life.
But stress, a poor diet, illness and aging tend to reduce your body's
ability to produce natural enzymes. Unless you eat a diet high in fresh,
raw foods, are under 40 years old, and are in perfect health, you likely
do not have enough enzymes.
The Cost of Enzyme Deficiency
A lack of enzyme activity in the body can contribute to many illnesses.
Do you have any of these conditions?

Taking a fermented plant food extract such as preB activates the
enzymes your body may be lacking.
What Exactly IS an Enzyme?
Enzymes are energized protein molecules that are responsible for helping
your body digest and absorb food, eliminate waste from the body, stimulate
the brain, repair tissues and organs, and provide energy.
Even if you consumed enough vitamins, minerals, water, and other nutrients
(which few of us do), you would still need enzymes to break down, absorb
and use those nutrients. For example, if you take a vitamin supplement
but don't have enough enzymes, those vitamins and minerals won't be absorbed
into your system; they'll simply pass through it without being used.
So you can see that without sufficient
enzymes, vital nutrients are going to waste.
Why Don't We Get Enough Enzymes Naturally?
There are two kinds of enzymes: the ones produced by our bodies, and the
ones we get from the foods we eat. As we age or experience stress, our
bodies stop producing as many enzymes as they used to.
So we need to supplement them from outside
sources.
Enzymes are found naturally in fresh, raw foods. But as soon as we cook,
store or process those foods, the enzymes are destroyed. Since most of
us eat a diet rich in cooked or processed foods, most of us are deficient
in enzymes.
A shortage of enzymes leads to poorly digested food winding up in the
digestive tract, forcing our bodies to work harder to generate more digestive
enzymes. Attempting to keep up with this demand can eventually exhaust
the body. When that happens, undigested bits of food may escape the intestines
and enter the blood stream. The body recognizes those bits as foreign
objects and the immune system tries to destroy them. This internal struggle
can weaken your body's ability to fight off diseases and maintain good
health.
What Can I Do About It?
Since switching to a raw food diet isn't practical or attractive to most
people, the next best thing is to take preB to increase your levels of digestive enzymes.
preB helps your body generate enzymes to replace the ones that are
destroyed in the cooking and processing of foods. This helps you return
to a healthy state where you will enjoy higher energy levels and greater
overall well being.
